Inside the journal

The journal looks at masks and treatments for dry lengths, color-treated hair, curls, and blonde maintenance. Each review covers the intended use, ingredients, practical drawbacks, alternatives, and an editorial score out of five.

Not every treatment is a rinse-out mask. Some stay in, some go on before shampoo, and some deposit color. Those differences matter more than the promises on the front of a jar.
