Editorial Policy
How we approach haircare reviews, scores, and shopping links.
Last updated November 8, 2026
Dear Sunday aims to make haircare choices a little clearer. Reviews explain who a product is designed for, how it fits into a routine, and where its limitations matter.
How to read a review
Reviews combine product information with editorial assessments of ingredients, application, and suitability. Brand claims are not independent clinical findings, and a review should not be read as proof that every product has undergone hands-on or clinical testing by this site.
Formulas, packaging, sizes, and directions can vary by market or change over time. Always check the product you receive, especially if you have allergies or avoid particular ingredients. A haircare review is not medical advice.
Independence
- Affiliate tracking does not change a score or a recommendation.
- Reviews include drawbacks and reasons to choose something else.
- A product that suits one hair type may be a poor fit for another.
Ratings
Scores use a five-point scale, shown to one decimal place. They express an editorial assessment of performance, ease of use, drawbacks, and suitability for the intended hair type. They are not Amazon customer ratings or clinical measurements.
Product links and illustrations
Amazon links may open a specific product, a shared listing with several variants, or a search. Check the product name, size, and selected variant before buying. Prices and availability are shown on Amazon, not cached here.
Cover images are editorial illustrations, not product photographs. Refer to the seller’s listing for actual packaging.
See the shopping-link disclosure for the current tracking status.
Corrections
Significant changes to a review should be reflected in its updated date. Contact details for corrections will be added when the author profile is finalized; see Contact.
